How to Order

Luxe and Co Gifts and Cards features a modern browser and mobile friendly design to provide the ultimate shopping experience. All items are described as accurately as possible and the images are of the actual items. Our easy Add to Basket function allows you to add only products that are actually in stock. Once you have finished shopping check the contents of your basket and proceed to the checkout. You can use the checkout as a guest or register for an account. Our postcode validation software will help populate your address fields for you. Once you have completed the checkout process you will receive an email confirmation of your order, please check the details carefully and advise us quickly of any errors.

Choosing your Delivery Address

Select either your billing address or an alternative address, for example your work address. If you would like us to send the card or gift direct, you can input the recipient’s address.

Products and Costs

Prices include VAT (not charged at present) but exclude delivery costs.

Product Reviews

Luxe and Co Gifts and Cards welcomes customers to review the products that they buy. Customer reviews are a great way of finding out what real people think of our products. All customer product reviews are genuine reviews submitted by customers. Don’t forget to come back and review your purchases, by completing the form directly on the product page. (Inaccurate or inappropriate reviews will be removed).

Discount Codes

Promotional discount codes may be input prior to making payment, simply enter your code into the Add Discount Code space provided during checkout. You may sign up to our Newsletter and become a Facebook fan or Twitter follower to be sure you hear about any promotional Discount Codes. Any promotional discount codes must be entered during the checkout process; no claims for discounts can be made once payment has been made.

Order Processing & Dispatch

All purchases will be dispatched to the delivery address entered during checkout. Postage rates will be calculated automatically when you checkout. A choice of services is available depending upon how quickly you would like to receive your order. Free delivery is available on all UK orders and these are usually sent via Royal Mail 48, you should allow 3-5 days for your order to be processed and delivered. Faster services are also available as shown in the drop-down box at the checkout and depending on when your order is placed, delivery can be as soon as the next day. All purchases are despatched the same or next working day and you should order by 1pm Weekdays to expect the same day despatch. You will receive a confirmation email on the day that your order is despatched.

Invoice/Packing Slip

Placing an order will generate an Invoice, a copy will be emailed to you with your order confirmation email. We will print the original and use it to pick your order from our warehouse, we will peel off the delivery label and use it to deliver your order. The original will be folded and enclosed with your order.

Packaging

All orders are carefully picked and packed by us. Greeting cards are generally posted inside a board-backed envelope and marked Do Not Bend. Larger orders are packaged carefully in either bubble envelopes, mail bags or cardboard boxes. We take great care packaging your order to ensure as best as we can that the goods will arrive in perfect condition.

Using our Card Handwriting service

You can select to have your greeting card handwritten with a short message by using the tick-box on the product page and entering your message. This service is intended to be provided to customers sending one card direct to a recipient. When using this service you should enter your details as usual under billing details and change the delivery address to the recipients. Cards will be written in pen by hand, (excluding Pop-up cards that will be printed). We will post these cards in their own envelope and will not enclose a copy of your invoice with a handwritten order.

Selecting our Gift Wrap option

You can select to have your gift wrapped by using the tick-box on the product page. There is an additional cost for this service and each gift that requires wrapping should be paid for separately. It is intended to be provided to customers sending their order direct to a recipient. When using this service, you should enter your details as usual under billing details and change the delivery address to the recipients. You should also provide us with more information at the checkout using the Notes to your Order section. Please tell us the occasion and provide a short message to be written on the gift-tag. Remember to provide us with the recipient’s first name. Gifts will be wrapped to match the occasion and recipient based on the details provided to us at the checkout. We will not enclose a copy of your invoice with a gift-wrapped order.

Customer Accounts

You can provide a password and create a Luxe and Co Gifts and Cards login to make repeat shopping easier. You can also log in to view previous orders and check the status of current orders.

Luxe and Co Gifts and Cards aim to answer any questions or queries quickly and in most cases within 24 hours (longer during weekends and holidays).

Payment Security & Credit Card Safety

Payments are processed via PayPal Web Payments Pro, a secure and safe online payment solution giving customers the choice of paying via PayPal or via major credit or debit cards (without leaving the Luxe and Co Gifts and Cards website). We do not store credit card details.

Your Right To Cancel and our Returns Policy

Luxe and Co Gifts and Cards are confident that you will be happy with your purchase, however in the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied you have the right to cancel and return your order.

If the item has been damaged in the post then please contact us first, we will arrange for you to return within 14 days to receive a replacement or full refund.

In the unlikely event that your goods do not arrive (because they are lost in the post) please contact us.

Cancellation Policy

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good. To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us, Luxe and Co Gifts and Cards, Equinox House, Clifton Park Avenue, York, England, YO30 5PA. Email: shop.luxeandco.uk or Telephone: 01904 202408 of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. A letter sent by post or email). To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

Effects of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any good supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than –
(a) 14 days after the day we receive back from you any good supplied, or
(b) (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
(c) if there were no good supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest. You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you are communicating your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expire. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Christmas Returns Policy

Extended returns policy, items purchased during December can be cancelled and returned by the 14th January.

Cancellation By Us

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if, for example we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered or one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price. If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit or debit card as soon as possible.

Title & Risk

You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you and we have received clear funds in full payment for the goods. Once goods have been delivered to you or a person nominated by you they will be held at your own risk and you will be responsible for them.

Liability

To the extent not prohibited by law, we accept no liability for any:
– loss which is not foreseeable (loss is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by you and us at the time you and we entered into our contract);
– loss which arises when we are not at fault or in breach of these Terms and Conditions; and
– business loss (which includes loss of profits, loss of business, contracts, goodwill, business opportunity and other similar losses, as well as business interruption).
Nothing in these terms will affect any liability we may have:
(a) for fraudulent misrepresentation;
(b) for death or personal injury arising from our negligence:
(c) under Part I of the Consumer Protection Act 1987;
(d) for breach of any condition as to title or quiet enjoyment of or in relation to any goods supplied by us; or
(e) in relation to any other liability, including any liabilities under sale of goods or supply of services legislation, that may not by applicable law be excluded or limited.

Events Beyond Our Control

We will have no liability to you for any delay in delivering goods you have ordered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control (including, without limitation, accidents, extreme weather conditions, fire, explosion, flood, storm, earthquake, natural disaster, failure of telecommunications networks, inability to use transport networks, acts of God, terrorist attack, war, civil commotion, riots, strikes, lockouts and other industrial disputes, acts or restraints of Government, and imposition of restrictions on imports or exports).

General

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality or enforceability of any other part of these Terms and Conditions and the remainder of the provision in question will not be affected.
No person other than you and us shall have any rights to enforce our agreement, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties Act) 1999 or otherwise.
If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under our agreement, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under our agreement, unless we agree in writing.
We may update, vary and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice. Each time you order or otherwise purchase any goods from us, the Terms and Conditions in force at that time will apply (as set out on this site). Please check this site to ensure that you understand which Terms and Conditions apply.

Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by English law. Any contract for the purchase of goods from this site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any such contract will be governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

Luxe and Co Gifts and Cards strives for 100% customer satisfaction; however we recognise that sometimes things can go wrong. If you experience a problem with our products or service, then please contact us. Please phone or email with any problems and we will seek to rectify them.
